International Women’s Day (IWD) is an important day for reflection. It's a time for individuals, and society more broadly, to reflect on how far we have come on the road to gender equality, but more importantly, shine a light on how much more can be done.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is #BreakTheBias, wherein we collectively manifest a gender equal world, free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.
Everyday we strive to empower the many inspirational women at Zoomo, and we too, want to #BreakTheBias.
As we continue to define our culture, we want diversity and inclusion to be at the forefront. Zoomo is committed to allowing women to trail-blaze their way through the mobility industry and create a path of opportunity and equality.
Today, we wanted to showcase the #WomenofZoomo who make our business what it is today, and put a spotlight on what IWD really means to them.
“Here’s to everyone standing up for microaggressions and marginality with strength and grace. They see us!”
“It means to celebrate bringing all voices to the table, even if that means changing the way we think and work.
If we want to retain more young women in positions of seniority, we need to be comfortable having difficult conversations about how that can be achieved, to have the courage to lead by example and have empathy to reach out to those who may need support.”
“A day to celebrate the incredible achievements of women from all walks of life, whilst also reflecting on how much progress we still need to make in the fight towards true gender equality.”
“It is a reminder of how far we have come and how long we have left to go.
IWD to me means saying no to discrimination, passive or obvious, speaking up for and supporting those who need it.
We need to build from the ground up, start from inside our homes, communities, schools and universities and keep persisting till we #BreakTheBias.”
“Talent is spread equally, opportunity is not. Equality is ensuring all people find their opportunity.”
“A global day celebrating the achievements of strong women and keep pushing the boundaries until we #BreakTheBias.”
"A reminder to be thankful for the opportunities that have been open to me and to fight for them to be available to more women around the world. So that one day, my daughter won't need to be thankful; the bias will be broken."
We currently have a bunch of open roles across all markets. If you are interested in becoming a Human of Zoomo yourself, and are also keen to help us accelerate cities to carbon neutral, head to our Careers at Zoomo page.
