EAV partners with Zoomo to accelerate Cargo Bike Adoption in Urban Logistics

LONDON - 22 June, 2023 - Zoomo, a global leader in last-mile electric fleet solutions, today announced it has partnered with EAV, a major provider of sustainable urban transport solutions, to further expand its vehicle offerings available on the Zoomo platform. This partnership marries EAV’s cutting edge hardware with Zoomo’s global reach, maintenance, telematically enabled software and financing capabilities.

Today’s announcement supports both Zoomo and EAV’s shared vision of putting more light electric vehicles (LEVs) on the roads.

Urban logistics today faces the combined challenges of congestion, lack of parking, and toxic emissions. These challenges have led customers to seek alternative vehicle solutions that can slot into their current systems. As a result, there is a growing need for a variety of sustainable vehicles to meet the demands of the sector.

The EAV, with its 2m³ of cargo space, has the potential to replace the millions of vans congesting our cities. EAV’s cargo bikes are one of the largest on the market, with a cargo volume of 2,000 litres and a 150kg payload. They are built to efficiently navigate urban landscapes and enable customers to make more deliveries in a shorter amount of time via their ability to access cycle lanes and safely navigate pedestrianised spaces.

The partnership will see Zoomo continue to expand its product portfolio to suit the needs of the growing urban logistics delivery sector. As EAV’s Official Fleet Partner, Zoomo will offer financing for EAV’s range of vehicles alongside their maintenance guarantee and telematically enabled fleet management software.

The announcement comes at a time when Transport for London (TfL) recently relaunched its van scrappage scheme, offering grants for businesses to replace petrol vans with electric vehicles, including e-cargo bikes.
