What is a Zoomo Refurbished E-Bike?

These are e-bikes (typically ex-rental or ex-subscription) that have been fully inspected, serviced, and approved by our expert mechanics.

They are certified as safe, reliable, and ready to ride, having undergone a rigorous multi-point check to meet our high standards.

What condition will the bike be in?

Our used bikes will have a full service before sale, and will be in the top quality condition you'd expect from Zoomo. They will have some cosmetic damage as they are used vehicles, but this won't affect performance.

Every used bike undergoes a comprehensive service and is brought to the high-quality standard you expect from Zoomo. While some cosmetic damage may be present due to prior use, this will not impact the bike's performance.

What is the warranty on a refurbished e-bike?

Your refurbished e-bike comes with a Zoomo limited warranty covering manufacturing defects on the frame and certain components.

Please refer to your purchase agreement for the exact coverage period. Normal wear and tear is not covered.

Can I transfer my warranty to someone else if I sell it?

The warranty is not transferable. If the bike develops a fault, any necessary repairs will need to be paid for by the current owner.

Does my purchase include a charger and keys?

Yes, every Zoomo e-bike comes with the required charger and all necessary keys (e.g. for the battery lock). Important to note that we do not sell battery chargers separately.

Can Zoomo help me if my e-bike is stolen?

No, Zoomo does not currently offer a recovery service for purchased bikes. We strongly recommend you install an apple airtag or similar to keep track of your bike.

How do I book a repair or service?

All servicing and repairs must be booked in advance via our online booking portal or by contacting your local store. We do not offer walk-in repairs to owners; you must secure the next available appointment slot.

How long will my repair take?

We aim to complete all repairs on the same day as your booking, but we promise to complete the work and have your bike ready for collection in less than three (3) business days.

Will I be charged before I know what is wrong with the bike?

No. We will Triage your bike first to determine the issue, and then provide a clear explanation and cost breakdown for parts and labour. We will only proceed with a repair after you give your consent.

How will I be billed for the repair?

We charge a minimum of a 30-minute booking slot for labour, plus the cost of any parts replacements that you consent to purchasing.

What do I need to bring to my repair appointment?

You must always bring your battery and the keys to your e-bike appointment to allow our mechanics to fully diagnose and test the electrical system.

Note, that if you bring a stolen battery, we will confiscate it and refuse service.

What if I am late or can't collect my bike on time?

Customers must attend their booking and return to collect the bike on the same day as the repair is completed.

We will send you an email to confirm when your bike is ready for collection.

If you do not collect your bike for more than 30 days, we may consider it abandoned and take back possession of it. No refunds.

I have an issue with the software. Can Zoomo update it for me?

Yes! We will keep your e-bike's software up to date for free every time you bring the bike in for a repair or service.

We recommend returning for a software update every 6-12 months to ensure your bike is operating at peak performance.

 I've altered or modified my bike (e.g., added an illegal throttle). Will Zoomo still repair it?

While we may still look at your bike, any alterations or modifications will have voided your original warranty.

Depending on the nature and extent of the alterations, we may have to refuse to perform the repair for safety or legal reasons. Any work completed will be fully chargeable.
